The first-cycle (Bachelor’s) study programme provides basic knowledge in the fields of mining geology and geological exploration, with primary emphasis placed on acquiring the ability to independently manage geological and mining works, to carry out documentation of geological exploration and mining operational activities, and to cooperate with managers and specialists from other professions. Graduates of the Mining Geology and Geological Exploration field of study (first cycle, programme Geology and Regional Development) are capable of analysing fundamental issues of mining geology and geological exploration, independently managing and documenting geological exploration and mining operational activities, and cooperating with managers and specialists of other professional backgrounds, while possessing adequate knowledge in the areas of business, organisation, and management of mining-geological and geological exploration works.
