Geological research, exploration, and the extraction of mineral resources, as well as the quality of the living environment, are an integral part of the development of any society. Rational mining significantly influences not only economic development but also the environmental balance of our planet.

Mining Surveying and Geodesy

The study programme educates specialists required for fulfilling the tasks of the state, as well as those of the sectors of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, construction, and industry.

Economy of Earth Sources

The study programme will provide graduates with a broad professional profile and comprehensive, high-quality knowledge, enabling them to function effectively in a multicultural environment, develop managerial skills, and acquire the prerequisites for successful business management, while taking into account the specific characteristics of investments in Earth resources and innovative technologies for the extraction and processing of Earth resources.

Mineralurgy and Environmental Technologies

A graduate of the study programme possesses knowledge of scientific research and development methods in the field of extraction and processing of Earth resources, including the modelling of mineral processing (mineralurgical) processes, the design of mineral processing technologies, and methods of spectral analysis.

Industrial Logistics

A graduate of the doctoral study programme possesses knowledge in logistics, transport, economics, and management, as well as in the design, planning, and optimization of logistics systems, and understands the management, planning, design, and optimization of logistics systems.

Process Control

A graduate of the study programme is capable of conducting scientific research aimed at acquiring new knowledge, developing new types of equipment and technologies, and transferring them into the informatization and process control domains. They master scientific methods of research and development.

Mineral Industry Extraction and Engineering Technologies

The study programme will provide graduates with a broad professional profile and comprehensive, high-quality knowledge in the fields of mining processes and mining systems, technical systems and technological processes involved in the construction and operation of tunnels, as well as natural dynamic processes related to technical challenges.

Utilization and Preservation of Earth Sources

The study programme educates specialists required for fulfilling the tasks of the state, the sectors of the economy and the environment, and the administration of the mineral wealth of the Slovak Republic in accordance with Article 4 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic.
