
The Mining Surveying and Geodesy study program, third cycle (PhD), full-time form, is accredited within the study field Extraction and Processing of Earth Resources. The Mining Surveying and Geodesy study program educates specialists needed to fulfill tasks of the state, as well as of the geodesy, cartography, and cadastre sector, construction, and industry. Graduates master scientific methods of research and development in mining surveying and geodesy, with a focus on, for example, the development of terrestrial, photogrammetric, satellite, astronomical, and other space-based surveying technologies and instruments; specialized surveying works in mining and construction with particular emphasis on underground construction; the development and creation of cartographic works; the creation of 3D coordinate systems; the application of scientific outputs in mining surveying and geodesy into local and global GIS environments; and the solution of complex surveying tasks.
