Mining Surveying and Geodesy
The study programme educates professionals required for fulfilling the tasks of the state, the sectors of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, construction, and industry. Graduates master scientific research and development methods in mining surveying and geodesy, with a focus, for example, on the development of terrestrial, photogrammetric, satellite, astronomical, and other space-based surveying technologies and instruments, specialized surveying works in mining and construction with an emphasis on underground construction, the development and creation of cartographic outputs, the creation of 3D coordinate systems, the application of scientific results in mining surveying and geodesy to GIS of local and global character, and the solution of surveying tasks.
