Environmental Protection and Ecotechnologies of Raw Materials

Graduates of the Bachelor’s study programme possess general knowledge in the fields of technical and natural sciences, as well as in the application of environmental, economic, legislative, and social knowledge. They understand the basic principles of technologies for the treatment and processing of primary and secondary raw materials and are able to correctly interpret technologies developed and applied in the processing of primary raw materials and apply them as environmental technologies, for example in water and air treatment and purification and in the processing and recycling of waste as secondary raw materials, the quantities of which are continuously increasing. Graduates of the study programme are capable of performing professional activities in organisations engaged in environmental monitoring and assessment, waste management, and environmental impact assessment, with employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including state administration, local self-government bodies dealing with environmental protection, industrial enterprises related to raw material processing, and various environmental organisations; graduates also find employment in fields related to the recycling of industrial and municipal waste components and to the separation of fine dispersed particles captured by eco-technologies for air and water protection.
