Automation and Process Control of Raw Materials Extraction and Processing

The study programme will provide graduates with a broad professional profile, enabling employment in manufacturing, as well as in positions of technical specialists and managers at various organizational levels in companies, industrial enterprises, and commercial organizations focused on industry and automation.

Transport Logistics of an Enterprise

The study programme will provide graduates with a broad professional profile and comprehensive, high-quality knowledge, enabling them to function effectively in a multicultural environment and equipping them with the prerequisites for successful management of a company’s basic logistics supply chain.

Surveying and Real Estate Cadastre

The study programme provides fundamental knowledge in the fields of geodesy, cartography, real estate cadastre, processing and analysis of measurements, geographic information systems, photogrammetry, and remote sensing of the Earth.

Geology and Regional Development

The study programme Geology and Regional Development is designed so that graduates can apply their knowledge in professional practice focused on environmental protection and development, as well as in the preparation of geological documentation and projects related to research into the Earth’s geological structure, its modelling, and subsequent utilisation. As the only programme of its kind in Slovakia, graduates will be able to design, plan, and address issues and relationships of regional development from the perspective of geological factors, which until now have remained on the margins of broader societal interest. Students of the Geology and Regional Development programme also complete field-based studies in the form of field exercises across Slovakia, which further enhance their knowledge, experience, and skills essential for the work of a geologist.

Geotourism

Graduates are proficient in the issues related to Earth resources and their use in geotourism. They possess knowledge of the development and processing of geotourism products up to their final form as marketable products. Within the field of geotourism and geotourism products, they are able to analyze and address fundamental problems associated with their identification, acquisition, and processing.

The graduate’s professional profile is based on fundamental knowledge in natural sciences, with the second professional foundation consisting of disciplines in computer science and information technologies. The third professional pillar comprises knowledge of process management and economic entities at all levels of management.

Environmental Protection and Ecotechnologies of Raw Materials

A graduate of the bachelor’s study programme possesses knowledge in the application of environmental, economic, legislative, and social principles. They understand the basic principles of technologies for the treatment and processing of primary and secondary raw materials.

Industrial Logistics

A graduate of the bachelor’s study programme possesses knowledge in logistics, transport, modelling, simulation, computer science, economics, and management, and understands the management, planning, coordination, and optimization of logistics systems.

Utilization of Alternative Energy Resources

The graduate is oriented toward the analysis, quantification, and practical application of renewable energy sources (such as solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower, and biomass energy) as alternative energy sources and fuels in energy systems of buildings, industrial processes, transport, as well as in the field of district heating and electricity supply.

Rescue, Fire and Safety Technology

The study programme prepares students for the rescue of persons from underground spaces, methods and techniques of firefighting both on the surface and in underground environments, ensuring the safety of production processes—especially those related to raw material extraction and the construction of underground structures—as well as the safe use of underground spaces.
