Call for Staff Mobility for the Academic Year 2026/2027
The International Relations and Mobility Office of Technical University of Košice announces the Erasmus+ call for applications for academic and non-academic staff members of TUKE for Erasmus+ mobility programmes in the academic year 2026/2027.
Applicants may submit a completed application form (signed by their supervisor) together with the required attachment(s) to the faculty programme coordinator by 15 July 2026.
Applications for teaching mobility must include a teaching programme (Staff Mobility Agreement – Teaching) signed by the applicant, the receiving institution, and the sending institution.
Applications for training mobility must include a work plan (Staff Mobility Agreement – Training) signed by the applicant, the receiving institution, and the sending institution.
On behalf of the sending institution, the application must be signed by the applicant’s direct supervisor (not the faculty coordinator).
Supported activities:
- Mobility of university teachers for teaching at a partner higher education institution (minimum 8 teaching hours; duration: 2–5 days),
- Mobility of university staff to enterprises for training purposes – exchange of theoretical and practical experience (2–5 days),
- Mobility of administrative, non-academic, and academic staff to a foreign higher education institution for training purposes aimed at improving professional skills (2–5 days).
Erasmus+ funding may support mobility lasting a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 consecutive working days (Monday to Friday).
All mobilities must be completed no later than 2 July 2027.
Important information related to the selection of the receiving institution:
The list of partner universities for teaching mobility is available on the website Erasmus+ Partner Institutions, categorized by faculties.
For training mobilities, an inter-institutional agreement between universities is not required.
Thanks to the membership of Technical University of Košice in the ULYSSEUS European University Alliance alliance, TUKE employees also have the opportunity to participate in staff mobility activities offered within the alliance. These opportunities are regularly updated on our mobility webpage: ULYSSEUS Mobility Calls. The offer of virtual mobility opportunities within the ULYSSEUS alliance is continuously updated; more information is available there.
In order to fully utilize the potential of valid bilateral agreements within the Erasmus+ programme and to diversify staff mobility, the evaluation of applications will also take into account the selected destination and the quality of the receiving institution. If you are interested in mobility to the Czech Republic or Poland, please primarily consider using the CEEPUS mobility programme or another suitable project.
If a faculty nevertheless includes such an application in its official selection report, the application will be excluded from the selection process at the rectorate level (International Relations and Mobility Office).
The permitted number of mobilities per person is a maximum of 2 mobilities in the academic year 2026/2027, including a maximum of 1 BIP mobility.
For academic staff members, at least one of these mobilities must be a teaching mobility (the second may be a training mobility or BIP).
Erasmus+ funding cannot be used for participation in conferences.
TUKE supports individual mobility rather than group travel; therefore, the selection process will also consider the criterion of a maximum of 2 persons at the same institution at the same time.
Exceptions apply to strategic initiatives organized by the International Relations and Mobility Office in support of Erasmus+ mobility.
Important information related to the application approval process:
The initial selection of mobility participants will be based on the official selection record of the respective TUKE faculty (selection at the faculty level), i.e. it will be carried out according to the ranking resulting from the evaluation of the applicant’s submission based on the valid faculty criteria (selection criteria and further information on staff mobility are available there).
During the application approval process at the central/rektorate level (International Relations and Mobility Office), consideration will also be given to the previous involvement of staff members/applicants in activities aimed at the internationalisation of the TUKE environment, organized under the responsibility of the Rectorate’s International Relations and Mobility Office (e.g. the Ulysseus project, development projects supporting internationalisation, networking activities organised by the Office, etc.).
An application submitted by an employee nominated by their faculty in the official selection report may be rejected if:
- the employee failed to participate in an approved mobility during the previous academic year without justification and without notifying the International Relations and Mobility Office;
- the employee significantly delayed the submission of documents required for the financial settlement of a previous mobility;
- the project’s financial resources have already been exhausted.
Incomplete applications will be excluded from the approval process.
For academic staff members, teaching mobility is considered a priority.
In order to fully utilize the potential of valid bilateral agreements within the Erasmus+ programme and to diversify staff mobility, the evaluation process will also take into account the selected destination and receiving institution. If you are interested in mobility to the Czech Republic or Poland, please primarily consider the CEEPUS mobility programme.
The assessment of more than one application submitted by the same applicant is subject to the current availability of project funding and the selection criteria applied at the Rectorate level (International Relations and Mobility Office).
Applicants will be informed about the approval of their nomination by email from a staff member of the International Relations and Mobility Office. If the mobility application is approved, the mobility may begin no earlier than September 2026.
The subsistence grant is intended to cover accommodation, meals, etc. – supporting expense documents must be provided during settlement (accommodation with friends/relatives = zero expenses = no entitlement to this type of grant).
NEW: Employees are required to provide photo documentation and feedback from the mobility:
- visited university/workplaces, photographs from meetings with partners, university campus, etc.;
- outcomes of the mobility (benefits for the employee’s workplace and for their further professional and personal development).
