World Refugee Day is an opportunity to recognize the strength, courage, and resilience of people who have been forced to leave their countries due to conflict, persecution, or threats to their safety. The event “Breakfast on the Occasion of World Refugee Day 2026” builds on this idea and brings it into the university environment, which plays an important role in fostering inclusive communities.

The main objective of the event is to create a platform for dialogue between the university, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, and the refugee community. The discussion will focus on supporting the inclusion and integration of refugees, presenting examples of good practice from the region, strengthening cooperation among partners, and reflecting on the role of higher education institutions in supporting people with lived experiences of forced displacement.
