Innovative Pedagogy Workshop: Active Learning for the Next Generation of Engineers
The Ulysseus Innovation Hub at TUKE, in cooperation with the TUKE Rectorate’s Education Office, invites teaching staff to the second workshop in the Uni2Teach series focused on modern approaches to engineering education and the development of pedagogical competences within the framework of the European University Ulysseus.
The workshop will address the specifics of the active learning approach in engineering education as a response to the educational needs of today’s generation of students. Participants will become familiar with students’ expectations, learning styles, and motivational factors, as well as the reasons why traditional teaching approaches are often losing effectiveness.
The workshop will have a strongly practical focus – offering easily implementable methods, the use of available technologies, and strategies for creating a dynamic learning environment without requiring extensive preparation on the part of the teacher.
The workshop will be led by Assoc. Prof. Jana Pócsová, PhD.
The event is primarily intended for university teachers, vice-deans for education, and TUKE staff involved in the internationalization of teaching and the development of language and didactic competences.
Registration is required, as capacity is limited.
📍 Venue: UVP TECHNICOM
📅 Date: 13 March 2026, 10:30 – 12:00
