On 10 June 2026, Priority Area 7 – Knowledge Society of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region will organise an online workshop titled “Danube Region Towards Framework Programme 10: The path to the next MFF and Horizon Europe”.

The workshop will bring together policymakers, programme managers, researchers and stakeholders from across the Danube Region to discuss the region’s positioning in the context of the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the successor to Horizon Europe – FP 10.

Participants will gain insights into the current state of play of Danube countries’ participation in the European Research Area and Horizon Europe, explore good practices in accessing EU research and innovation funding, and receive up-to-date information on the preparation of the next MFF, including its implications for research, innovation and macro-regional cooperation.

The event will provide a platform for exchange, peer learning and networking, supporting the Danube research community in preparing for future EU framework programmes.
