On May 15–16, 2026, we organized at the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies, Technical University of Košice the expert conference COZZ 2026 – Civil Protection and Rescue Services, dedicated to cooperation between the state, local governments, and volunteers in the field of civil protection, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.

Within three expert sections, discussions focused on education in the field of civil protection, cooperation of rescue services during emergency situations, and safety in schools.

The conference culminated in a panel discussion with distinguished guests and a ceremonial procession of participants and students through the city.

The second day continued with a firefighters’ competition for the travelling trophy of the Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
